Care: Easy

African Milk Tree is drought tolerant and slow growing, needing very little attention once settled.

Light: Bright

Wants bright light with some direct sun. Too little light causes thin, leggy growth.

Watering: Low

Let the soil dry out fully between waters. Treat it like a cactus rather than a typical houseplant.

Toxicity: Toxic

Milky sap is a skin and eye irritant and toxic if eaten, harmful to pets and people. Wear gloves when handling.

Position: Floor

At 70cm with narrow, upright columns, its small footprint still reads well as a floor accent. Where it thrives: a bright living room corner or beside a sunny window.
