About the Philodendron White Princess

Philodendron ‘White Princess’ brings cool, gallery-ready polish to real homes. Think deep green leaves painted with clean white flashes, sometimes blushing pink along the petioles—Prissy is small-space friendly and seriously photogenic.

Park her in bright, indirect light, skip harsh rays, and give a slim pole so she climbs with confidence. Let the top layer dry between drinks, then drench and drain; airy aroid mix only. Wipe leaves, rotate monthly, and keep drafts at bay.

We send her snug and protected so she lands fresh, healthy, and ready to style on shelves or stands. Low-fuss, high-impact, and quietly air-cleansing—she earns her spot.

Did you know?

Her variegation is naturally unpredictable; steadier light and gentle feeding keep patterns crisp. Don’t cut new growth points; train early and she’ll size up indoors. Use rainwater where possible, keep temperatures warm and stable, and avoid soggy pots; a little humidity helps, but airflow matters more. Stake neatly, tie loosely, and watch each leaf unfurl like silk.

Why the bedroom?

This plant is perfect for the bedroom because it brings instant calm and tropical charm with minimal effort. Her bold, upright leaves make a striking statement, while subtly improving the air you breathe. Though she’s not safe for curious pets or children, she’s ideal for stylish, adult-friendly spaces. Low-maintenance, air-cleansing, and full of presence—Prissy was made for this room.

Position: Tabletop

Place Prissy on a Tabletop or bookshelf near bright, indirect light, a few metres from a window or behind sheer curtains. Give her a slim moss pole to climb and space for leaves to fan. Keep away from radiators, drafts, and blasting AC. Rotate monthly for balance. Mildly toxic, so style in adult spaces or out of reach for pets and children.

Growth Habit: Climbing

Plants that naturally climb trees or other surfaces in the wild.

Soil: Well-Draining

Choose a well-draining, airy aroid mix so Prissy’s roots stay oxygenated yet evenly moist. Use premium potting soil boosted with chunky perlite, orchid bark, and a touch of coco coir for gentle hold. Avoid dense, peat-heavy blends and waterlogged pots. Pot with drainage, let water run through, then reset between drinks—damp, never dense—to keep variegation crisp, growth steady, and leaves glossy indoors.

Propagation: Stem Cuttings

Propagate Philodendron ‘White Princess’ by STEM CUTTINGS. Take a 10 cm tip cutting just above a node, keeping 1–2 nodes and a leaf. Remove the lowest leaf. Root the node in water, moist sphagnum, or an airy mix (perlite + bark + coco). Keep bright-indirect, warm, and humid; avoid direct sun. Pot up when roots reach 3–5 cm. Leaf-only cuttings fail. Sterile tools help.

Bright, Indirect

Prissy thrives in bright, indirect light; avoid harsh afternoon rays. Keep her by a curtained window. Let the top 5 cm dry before watering deeply and draining; rotate monthly for balanced even growth indoors.

Moderate

Give Prissy moderate watering: let the top 5 cm dry, then water deeply and drain. Weekly in spring and summer; ease off in cooler months. Use room-temperature water, avoid soggy mix, empty saucers.

Green Thumb

Prissy needs bright, indirect light, an airy aroid mix, and watering when the top soil dries. Provide a slim support and draft-free warmth. Rotate, wipe leaves, avoid harsh sun.

Medium

Prissy prefers medium, steady humidity for crisp variegation. Keep her away from heaters and blasting AC. Group with plants or use a pebble tray; gentle airflow helps. Mist lightly around foliage in summer.
