About the Monstera Deliciosa Tauerii

The Monstera deliciosa ‘Tauerii’ hails from the rainforests of Central America, where he climbs dappled trunks beneath a canopy of filtered light. With broad, glossy, heart-shaped leaves and dramatic fenestrations, Tauri brings a lush, architectural presence to interiors—perfect for those who love drama without the fuss.

Compact by nature, he fits homes more easily than standard Monstera while keeping that iconic, jungle-fresh look. Give him bright, indirect light, a weekly deep drink once the top layer dries, and an occasional leaf wipe, and he’ll repay you with bold splits and steady growth.

We ship him snug and secure in a sturdy, plant-safe box, protected with sleeves and fixings so he arrives fresh and unruffled.

Did you know?

‘Tauerii’ stays shorter with closer internodes, so he tends to develop holes earlier on smaller leaves. Guide his aerial roots into the pot or onto a moss pole to boost stability and leaf size. Avoid harsh sun and let soil breathe—he’ll do the rest.

Why the living room?

This plant is perfect for the living room because it brings instant drama and lush jungle charm with thoughtful care. His bold, fenestrated leaves make a striking statement while gently freshening the air you breathe. Though he’s not safe for curious pets or children he’s ideal for stylish, adult-friendly spaces. Low-fuss, air-cleansing and full of presence—Tauri was made for this room.

Position: Floor

Place Tauri as a statement Floor plant near a bright, indirect window with morning sun and filtered afternoons. Give him space to climb a moss pole and avoid drafts, radiators, and blasting AC. A living room corner works beautifully; partial shade is fine. Not pet friendly, so situate him in adult spaces where foliage can sprawl safely. Rotate monthly for balanced growth.

Growth Habit: Climbing

Plants that naturally climb trees or other surfaces in the wild.

Soil: Well-Draining

Choose a well-draining, airy aroid mix so Tauri’s roots breathe and stay confident. Use premium potting soil boosted with chunky perlite, orchid bark, and a touch of coco coir for gentle moisture. Avoid heavy, peat-laden blends that cling and suffocate. Aim for damp, never dense; let moisture reset between drinks. Fast drainage prevents soggy feet and keeps growth bold, all year round.

Propagation: Stem Cuttings

Propagate Tauri by STEM CUTTINGS. Take a 10 cm cutting below a node (ideally with an aerial root) at 45°, remove lower leaf, and root in water or a fresh potting/coir mix; optional rooting hormone helps. Keep bright, indirect, warm, and humid, avoiding direct sun. Air layering a taller stem also works. Do not use leaf-only cuttings. Change water; plant when rooted.

Bright, Indirect

Tauri thrives in bright, indirect light; morning sun is fine, harsh afternoon rays are not. A sunny room with sheer-filtered light suits him best. He tolerates partial shade; rotate monthly for balanced growth.

Moderate

Give Tauri moderate watering: let the top 5 cm dry, then water deeply and drain. Weekly in spring and summer, less in cooler months. Use room temperature water; avoid soggy roots. Between waterings.

Green Thumb

He’s moderately demanding but absolutely worth it, too. Give him bright, indirect light, deep but infrequent watering and room to climb, and he will repay you with sculptural, glossy splits. Big impact and style—without stress.

Medium

Tauri thrives in medium, steady humidity. Keep him away from heaters and blasting AC. Group with plants or use a pebble tray. A light daily spritz helps keep his fenestrated leaves glossy longer.

Toxicity

Mildly Toxic: May cause adverse reactions if ingested in large quantities.
